Description:

Hiring employees is one of the most important functions that an organization performs. Interviewing candidates is a critical part of the hiring process for most organizations-where HR knowledge, skills, and experience are essential.

Behavioral Based Interviewing (BBI) focuses on the interviewee's past performance. By focusing on past performance, interviewers greatly increase their ability to predict whether a person will be the "top performer" their organization is seeking. One study found BBI to be 55 percent predictive of future on-the-job behavior while traditional interviewing was only 10 percent predictive.
