Membership Definitions - Please refer to when selecting type of membership applying for:

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP - available to those who are currently working in a Human Resources position or engaged in an HR function for their organization (i.e. a Finance Associate who is also responsible for the hiring and firing, etc in a small organization), to HR consultants, and to faculty members holding assistant, associate, or full professor rank in HR administration or any of its specialized phases in an accredited college or university, and to those who demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the Association's Board of Directors, a bona fide interest in both HR administration and in the purposes of the Association. To be eligible for regular membership, one must possess at least one year of responsible experience in HR work or the equivalent thereof. Annual dues for Regular Members who are also SHRM members is $25.00, non SHRM members is $45.00. If registering as a SHRM member, the applicant’s SHRM membership number must be noted on the application.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP - is available to full-time students pursuing a human resources degree or human resources related degree and who are not currently engaged in a human resource role or do not work at any professional position. Student members do not have the right to vote or hold office in the Association. Annual dues for Student Members are not required.
